What is a good website to evaluate a website SEO these days?

March 14, 2011 - 2:38 pm 6 Comments

I’m looking to see if I want to advertise on a website, looking to find out about 1) if their seo page rank and other seo factors are good and 2) if their traffic and demographics are good for our advertising.

Thank you!

Below are the free (or mostly free) tools I use everyday. I work in the digital marketing industry and do this on a daily bases.

SEO evaluation:

Demographics/Traffic/Trending
http://www.google.com/adplanner/
http://quantcast.com
http://compete.com

Really expensive tools the pros use:
ComScore:http://comscore.com
Nielsen: http://www.nielsen.com/us/en/measurement/online-measurement.html

If your looking to only advertise then their SEO or pagerank shouldn’t matter. Unless of course your talking about purchasing links which is technically against Google’s T.O.S.

Look into SEOmoz.org they have a great ‘mozrank’ that is better indicator of quality then PageRank.
