What should my SEO title, description and keywords be?
I’m using the All in One SEO plug-in for Wordpress and need to provide an SEO title, description and keywords for all my posts. Can anyone offer correct and good examples of what these should be? If you have links to tutorials that would be great too. If you can offer a sample from your own posting that would be even better.
Thanks!
Without knowing the theme of your blog, it’ll be hard to give meaningful examples. I would point you to a specific tutorial that explains the hows and whys behind title tags, etc. There is a new, free SEO tutorial site for small business owners at http://www.smbseoguide.com/. The pages that specifically comment on title, description and keywords for your blog are below. Hope it helps. Good luck!
How do I analyze my website for relevancy for SEO?
I have a local business referral website www.deserthc.com, need for it to be easily found by homeowners looking for services, events or local information. Not sure what keywords I should put for the best SEO/ placement. What is the best way to bring homeowners to our site? Our local marketing efforts have not been very successful, Ad words is expensive! Help please.
Google has an adword tool you can use to see how many searches there are each month for a specific keyword. Firefox also has a lot of SEO tool that help analyze a website. The most important thing for SEO is link building. This is very time consuming however, so you might want to look into working with an SEO company. They can also be very expensive, so do your research!
SEO: For a small business, is it better to focus on the most searched for keywords, or niche-words that aren’t
searched for as much?
I’m optimizing a site for a software company and having a hard time deciding whether I should go after the tougher keywords that have tons of searches monthy but also tons of competition, or if I should focus on the less searched for, and less competitive keywords.
Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks.

I am re-vamping and marketing a website for a small industrial fastener company and have run into the same question. After much internal debate, and a ton of research, we have decided to go after the "secondary" niche-words.
My reasoning is this: If you primarily use the most searched for words, you are going to be up against the big guys in your industry. These guys get clicks, traffic and as such, search ratings, in a large part from name/brand recognition, and from the fact that human nature will naturally lead people to the bigger companies. I know we can’t compete at that level, and by using those keywords, I would be attempting to de-throne the kings.
Also, if paying for ads on search engines, again, if you use the most popular terms, the big guys will have the ad prices way up and it would cost a small fortune to even get listed at #10 or #11, so why try. Again, go after the niche words.
But my third reason is, research has shown that when using a search engine your searches become much more specific when you are actually getting ready to buy. The research also shows that when researching, only general terms are used. Hence, database management software, might be used for research, and client management database would be used when you know what to buy.
For these 3 reasons, we are going with the niche words.
Good luck with your website and search engine optimization.

have a huge impact on keyword resarch and search engine optimization.
Google has provide a tool for keyword reasearch and SEO that makes finding related
keywords simple and organized. Like all of the Google Free Tools, the data is
pulled from the Google search engine where approximately 70% of all searches

Basically Google shows a Flash-based interactive mini app which starts with your

Local SEO question-is it necessary to include the city name in your keywords?
if you want to target Los Angeles Real estate, is it necessary to include the "los angeles" part in your website when doing meta tags and keywords? Does google know where your website is?
Why Not, you can try what ever you want with your main keywords anyway SEO means specific and Organize, not general or random (I.e SPAM)
here some suggestion from the experts I.e Me
, put your los Angeles in your tittle and add some words in body text, that still related in LA or find some related keywords with LA , and search dofollow or link exchanges with some websites that still related with your business, and not the same business to increase your ranking in different keywords unless your websites have high PR!!

Is there a limit to the number of meta keywords you should use in the html of a website?
I am in the process of designing a website and the SEO stuff is very intense and confusing. How many keywords can I use between the meta keyword tags? Is there a limit and if I used alot does that decrease my chances of a higher ranking? Could i use my competitors names in my keywords- since they get high rankings? Can you hide from view the keywords?
The META Keyword Tag was used by the search engines in the 1990s but spammers quickly discovered that repeating a keyword over and over in this tag rocketed them to the top of the SERPs. The search engines had no choice but to ignore it for ranking purposes and this has now been the case for several years http://www.seo-blog.com/keyword-meta-tag.php
