Looking for an affordable SEO expert to raise a website’s rankings… can you recommend anyone?

April 29, 2010 - 10:24 pm 9 Comments

I have two small niche websites that I really want to raise their search engine ranking. My budget is pretty low, but I don’t want to get negative results with some blackhat garbage.

Can anybody recommend someone to me?
Here’s the term I want to rank for.

"nerdcore"

Can you give me a quote for that?

SEO is primarily made of on-site optimization (meta tag, keyword density, content etc.) and off-site optimization (link building, site submission etc.). Outsourcing your SEO if they are not to be able to modify your content (which might not be SEO friendly) would not resolve the equation.

I usually recommend to work with a SEO firm or consultant who can work extensively with you, someone who has the heart of a teacher. Otherwise, make sure to work yourself on making your site seo-friendly and working on the content (content is king).

If you really want to outsource, there are some specialized websites where you can submit your project and have seo specialists compete for it. I would advise www.scriptlance.com, www.rentacoder.com, www.elance.com and www.guru.com.

Hope it helps.

I want my site to get more traffic. What is the best and most affordable SEO company that can make it happen?

April 29, 2010 - 10:24 pm 8 Comments

I want my site to be advertised in online classifieds. Some SEO companies say they will put me in at least 50,000 places. Is this for real? How can I check to see if they did this?

"Best" and "most affordable" are a contradiction. To get the best help, you need to hire someone who is very experienced and skilled — and who therefore can command high fees. For a low budget, you’ll get less experienced and less skillful efforts.

A company that says that they will "put you in 50,000 places" or "guarantee a top-10 position" is almost certainly a scam. The "50,000 places" goal is NOT SEO at all, it’s spamming. The "guarantee" is usually worthless if you parse it out. In some cases, the "SEO" firm simply uses PPC bidding and thus as soon as the contract ends, your traffic ends, too.

Unfortunately, SEO requires a lot of planning and work, and takes many months to "pay off."

Using Google AdWords is also more complex than most folks understand. It’s certainly a little bit easier to launch and manage, but the cost of PPC advertising is also impacted by your SEO work.

Good luck.

SEO: Free Software To Find Do Follows?

April 29, 2010 - 10:24 pm 4 Comments

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a "free" software that list a number of blogs and forums with do follow instead of now follow. I’d like to find do follow blogs and forums by topic and page rank. Thanks.

As known that Dofollow backlink is one of the major factor to increase your PR. I can only provide a link (http://blogbloging.blogspot.com/search/label/list) for you to get a huge list of dofollow forum and blog.

Does a coming soon page make a difference for SEO purposes?

April 29, 2010 - 10:24 pm 5 Comments

The site is not ready but the domain is owned. Would it be better to have just a 404 or a coming soon page? For SEO purposes.

A 404 simply creates an SEO vacuum.

Set up a keyword-rich "coming soon" page and provide a form so visitors can leave their email addresses. When the site rolls out, shoot them all an email to let them know. Even better, give them some premium access, a sneak peek or some other promotional offer. No reason you can’t start generating interest now.

Will hiding keyword text with CSS in navigation bar decrease SEO precedence?

April 29, 2010 - 10:24 pm 3 Comments

Say I did something like this:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<title>What Ever You Want – Mad right Now Media, Talk trash</title>
<style type="text/css">
<!–
#don {
}
#don h5 {
display: none;
}
–>
</style>
</head>

<body>
<div id="don">
<h5>MAD RIGHT NOW!</h5>
<img src="Images/Ristar_scorched_by_EmeraldGuardian1.jpg" width="300" height="319" /></div>
</body>
</html>

and Mad right now were my keywords. They are at the top of the body and they are in h5 tags, but they are hidden with a CSS rule. Would that decrease the SEO popularity of the page? Sure I could always use alt text, but alt text doesn’t have as much presidency than an h5 tag, or something that is further up the page.

As a general rule, if your page is server-side, then yes it would hide it. If you’re only using that page client-side (static, etc.), then it would still show.

Basically the way to find out is do a view source on the rendered page. If you can see the keywords, then so can the SEO robots.

the 10-15 Keyword works is it for the entire site or the other links can have 10-15 different Keywords?

April 29, 2010 - 10:23 pm 1 Comment

My question is about SEO specifically about keywords, i read somewhere that you can type more than 10 to 15 keywords because some search engines have a limit on the number of keywords they can process. so my question is: is that only for the entrie site i.e. for every page or we can have different keywords for every sub page as well?

Yes, there is a limit of the number of keywords and/or symbols that the search engines will proceed on a specific page and I recommend you to always consider that limitation.

And NO, the keywords are not for the whole website. Of course, you can set the same keywords for every page of a site, obviously, this is not what you want. In this case, just set a different keywords metatag for as many pages of your site, as you want, here there are no limitations.

Check your CMS for this option, for example Wordpress has different SEO plugins (like All-in-One SEO and Greg’s High Performance SEO – I use the second one) that allows you to set different metatags (Description & Keywords) for every page.

Hell, My site is English language . but i need seo optimization in other 4 language:Spanish, Russian, French,Arabic, can u suggest me who will be do? and how much prices ?

Its very difficult to obtain first page SEO keyword ranking for u your site if your site is not in the language you are targeting.

Do you mean you want your keywords to be ranked high in a specific google website like google.fr for french keyword?

You can try this company, http://www.blindmonkeymedia.com since they have had success with German keywords even though they specialize in english SEO keywords.
