Any good, low cost seo software you would recommend?

Hi, I have been working on SEO for a number of years now and have found it very challenging. As you are probably aware there are many BLACKHAT ways on how you can boost your search engine ranking overnight, to be honest i have found that these generally dont work and can actually effect your website positioning within the search engines.

SEO is certainly a very long winded process that can take months to see any noticeable results. To start off with i have been submitting many of my websites to link directories, this is certainly a length process but has given me some good results in the past. For example if you take a look at this website, – www.linksdragon.com – you can submit your website for free or pay for a featured website that gives you more exposure of your website. The only negative side by submitting your website links to directories like the above is the time spent submitting your information .e.g. creating an account on the site itself. On the positive side i have come across some software that allows you to submit your website links to literally thousands of link directories without having to type in your website / personal information everytime. This has really helped to gain a large amount of directory links over a fairly small space of time, but is still a very time consuming job. I added approximately 150 links in about 9 hours.

I don’t know, but it is simply a way to create backlinks to your landing page and takes quite a bit of work to set up. You are probably better off using Linkvana or one of the backlink services.

I found a directory with bunch of expired domain names – the directory page where those domain names are actually has PR = 3

my plan is to redirect them to my main domain

Is it good for SEO or matters little?

Well your idea is really great, only problem is Google keeps track on such directories and websites which are either closed or blocked, and if they realized you are using them for your website for SEO reasons, then it will block your website from Search Engines, and then either black mark it or highlight it as a SPAM. So be cautious of using such tricks for SEO things, which made you cause more than anything.

as in, instead of domain abcdef.com where abc and def are keywords to help rankings in the search engines, i want to use abc-def as a domain name. is this just as acceptable and makes no difference for SEO purposes? i am not referring to content etc as that obviously has an effect. i just want to know if the keywords in a domain with a dash in between can still bring SEO benefits. thanks in advance!

Unless the domain name is initially a major recognizable "branded" domain name, most Net visitors merely submit generic keyword queries. The use of a comma within a non-major "branded" domain name really does not make any difference in elevating one’s PR because again, your average Net surfer believes that the product or services should be tagged to a particular descriptive term and business locator so they don’t order something out of their country, etc.

1. Alexa – pretty much useless. It only collects data from those that have the Alexa toolbar installed.

2. http://www.mikes-marketing-tools.com/ranking-reports/ – I was hoping this one would be good. When I tried it though, the results weren’t accurate. Perhaps they are old results?

I sent for his free report about this tool and I haven’t received the email yet. As far as accuracy goes, it promising given his description. The cost isn’t being disclosed yet though. He said something like "don’t worry all my reports are free" but he’s talking about software on his site, so I don’t know if he’s being intentionally ambiguous.

Anyway, I’m interested in this too so thanks for asking the question!

I want the site to do well in organic searches, which usually entails a unique page for each part, and links between parts, yet I don’t want the site to load a new Flash swf each time the user goes to a new section of the site.

(FYI, the site consists of about 8 pages only.)
